Whitney Houston is a celebrated American pop star and a former fashion model. She is also renowned as one of the world’s best selling music artists. Born in 1963, Houston began singing in the church at a tender age of eleven and from there on showed a promise of being committed to reach the zenith in the world of music.

Whitney marked her debut in 1985 with her album called ‘Whitney Houston’ that did wonders on the Billboard 200 albums chart. She has been a great inspiration for many African American women. She began her film career with ‘The Bodyguard’ in 1992 followed by her famous tracks like ‘Waiting To Exhale’ and ‘The Preacher’s Wife’. But her personal life has not been as successful as her professional life. She lived a troubled life fighting various drug addictions and finally making an entry into the rehabilitation centre, The Meadows.

Whitney Houston has been a two time resident at The Meadows. A former fashion model, actress and recording artist, Whitney Houston is undoubtedly one of the biggest pop stars of all time. Opportunity and success came her way quite early in life. At a young age of 14, she performed as the lead singer with Michael Zagers Band and from here there was no looking back. Houston’s top performances enlist ‘The Bodyguard’ and many other hits. In 1985, Houston’s remarkable debut album brought her the recognition she deserved and from here her success journey took off to even greater heights.

But the year 2000 came as a year of unending struggle and personal tragedies. Whitney Houston was caught carrying drugs on her at the airport and since then she has been struggling with drug abuse. Her troubled relations with her husband Bobby Brown and a property dispute aggravated the situation and she fell victim to drug addiction and checked in to The Meadows rehabilitation centre. She was successfully treated and 2006 onwards she has been working on clearing her tainted image. Whitney completely transformed her life by the support of experts at The Meadows. Her commitment and dedication to come out clean is truly inspirational.
